Born in 1985 in Izmir, Turkey, Demet Derelioğlu Aran is a filmmaker and the founder of Caption Film Production. After earning her degree in Business Administration from 9 Eylül University and studying film directing at Prague Film School, she crafted several award-winning short films, including Babovka (2017), Lunchbox (2018), and The Night Before (2019), which premiered at renowned festivals such as the Sarajevo Film Festival and Antalya Film Festival. Her first feature film project, On the Way Back to Istanbul, which has been selected for programs like the FOCAL Script Coaching Program and Torino Film Lab.
